Is EzAuto the same as Earn-a-Car?

No — they are separate, unrelated companies. Both operate in the South African rent-to-own space. EzAuto's own terms are a rental agreement with the option to own, insurance and tracking included, a soft credit check only and affordability-led approval from R14,000 gross income a month. For Earn-a-Car's terms, ask them directly.

What does the EzAuto monthly amount include?

Comprehensive insurance on the vehicle, the tracking unit and its subscription, licence and registration, 24/7 roadside assistance and all rental administration. Fuel, tyres, servicing and maintenance stay with you for the term.

Do I need a clean credit record?

No. Rent-to-own is a rental agreement rather than a credit agreement, so we run a soft credit check that does not affect your score. Blacklisted and debt-review applicants are welcome; approval is based on affordability.

What deposit does EzAuto ask for?

A rental deposit from 10% of the vehicle value, confirmed on approval. A larger deposit lowers the monthly rental. All conditions are set out in the signed rental agreement.
