What does rent to own a vehicle mean?

You rent the vehicle from EzAuto on a fixed-term rental agreement and can choose to purchase it at the end of the term. It is not a credit agreement, a loan or vehicle finance, which is why approval depends on affordability rather than your credit score.

What types of vehicles are available?

Hatchbacks, sedans, compact SUVs, 7-seaters and bakkies from our national dealer network. Every unit is under 125,000 km and no older than eight years.

How much do rent to own vehicles cost?

From R1,750 a week — about R7,583 a month — for an entry hatchback, rising with the vehicle value. Insurance, tracking, licensing and roadside assistance are included in that amount.

Do I need a good credit score?

No. EzAuto runs a soft credit check that does not affect your score, and approval is affordability-led. Blacklisted and debt-review applicants are welcome to apply.

Can I use the vehicle for work?

Vehicles are for private use only. Driving to and from your workplace and personal errands are fine, but e-hailing, deliveries and any commercial or income-generating use is not permitted.
